We left on Christmas Day evening, chasing a heavy storm ahead of us.
The storm dumped a load of snow on Tehachapi Pass, which was closed
that night, so it's just as well we didn't leave on time in an efficient manner.
The pass was opened again the following morning, so up and over we went.
As a friend commented, it looks just like Wales...
