We drove from Tucson south-east to Tombstone - site of the gunfight at the OK Corral. OK, so it was a little touristy, but fun. Most interesting was a short walk we took with Chili in a wash outside of town. Buildings and towns may change, but the dirt we were wandering on is the same dirt that people wandered on a hundred years before when Tombstone was in its hey-day. Interesting to imagine people living out here and having to travel overland by horse to get to the next town. The terrain is wide open, so you can see people's dust trails for miles, so it's not the easiest area to hide in.
The wind was even more bitterly cold than it had been, so we didn't stay outside very long.
