On the way down, I got to ride my bike. I use the term "ride" loosely. More correctly,
I got to hike-a-bike along a 3 mile stretch of singletrack with Chili.

Not having the chance to warm up - mentally or  physically, I never quite got the hang of:
steep up, rocks, steep down, sand wash, steep up, rocks, steep down, sand wash. Repeat.

But it was a nice hike, even if I did feel really crap for being so pathetic as to not be able
to stay on the bike for more than 20' at a time. Later it transpired that this trail was
considered "expert" (made me feel better).

Most interesting was seeing how cacti look when they have burnt.
