Loop 3 broke away from Dry Creek and
followed the bed of a tiny stream for a few miles.
There were fish and
baby newts in the stream, little patches of green grass
to munch on,
and a continuous supply of water for
the horses to sip from. This is looking back where we just came from.
(Loop 1 was similar to this, riding
along the bed of Galloway Creek,
continually crossing the water every eighth of a mile or so.)
