Rides of March, 20 April 2004 / IMG_8025 |
Socks and Bailey, living up at
3500', were really shaggy, as were many horses at the ride,
and didn't cool down very well, so it took them a while to pulse down. As it
turned out,
the ups and downs (continuous, seemingly) took their toll on Socks and
Dennis
decided to pull him when his back was found to be sore. Dorothy, trying to
manage
Bailey who she hasn't been riding very long, forgot to eat properly, so
pooped out
by this check and wasn't having fun any more. So they both pulled, leaving
Provo
and I to finish on our own.
As it turns out, Provo was a
little sore in the back the next day, so I really think the
terrain had a lot to do with it.
