The ride itself didn't go well, when two of the mares here (ridden by Elena and Katie) tied up in the first 10 miles. Although it was a sad finish to a busy few weeks, a great deal was learnt from this series of events and I'm sure they went away wiser for it.

Sally said later that she felt fairly confident that Tango would have finished the ride and she greatly enjoyed riding him. IMG_0016.JPG (91996 bytes)Img_0014.jpg (92013 bytes)

IMG_0020.JPG (54614 bytes)Supracor pad. Tio had been bitten by Becky's stallion a week or so before the ride, and had a sore on his back (at a non-pressure point), so Becky opted to use this pad as a safety measure. As I understand it, the stuff the pad is made out of, was developed for bed-ridden patients to aid in the prevention of bed sores. It was favoured by some who used it during the XP2001 (2000 mile ride in 39 days).
