Jamie Fend trotting Khutrina out. They were
sadly pulled at Francisco's for lameness (probably just as well, seeing as
Jamie was sick and rapidly losing her voice)
Gary Fend's turn. This is Gary's new horse
from Texas, Stormy Weather. Stormy has only been with them a couple of
months, but has evidently figured out his job. He carried Gary, escorting
jr Cameron Holzer, over the finish line an hour before cut off.
Jon Steven and Spider. Spider is the
luckiest horse alive after slipping off trail during the night and being
lost for several hours. Come first light the search party went out and he
was recovered on Sunday morning, scraped up but otherwise OK. Best wishes
for a speedy recovery Spider.
TR Sharkee rescue horse par excellence
having his feet tended to. Tammy Robinson and Sharkee finished in 51st
place.
Jon Priest on his second Tevis attempt
with Merlin Montiki. After slowing in the canyon, Jon was able to make up
some time and was pleased to find that Merlin was willing. They came over
the finish line with 45 minutes to spare in 69th place. Jon has also done
the WS100 run.
