October 1997: After pft managed his small mishap
between leg and ground, Dr Strauch put it back together again with some
bits and bobs of hardware he found lying around. |

December 2000: This would have been fine had said
hardware not poked out under the skin at coffee table height - just
waiting to be whacked at regular intervals. |

pft got a bit tired of this, so after a little over three
years, he opted to have the hardware removed. |

Here he is the day after his removal-surgery, looking a
bit sad. He's mostly looking sad because he doesn't have any room on the
bed because of the 58 cats on there with him. |

And here's a not-terribly-clear picture of his poorly leg
a few days after the surgery, showing what they had to do to get the
stuff out. The whole leg is healing up nicely and should be completely
mended by late February. |
