California

This is what California looks like.

Honest.

Took this picture coming through the Tehachapi Mountains which are situated between the Southernest part of the Central Valley (Gods' Country) and the Mojave Desert.

For the non-residents, the trees on the hills are California live oaks (as opposed to California dead oaks?) and the yellowy/brown stuff is the crunchy grass that contributes to why the chocolate in this country is so bad.

California, n.:
From Latin "calor", meaning "heat" (as in English "calorie" or Spanish "caliente"); and "fornia'" for "sexual intercourse" or "fornication." Hence: Tierra de California, "the land of hot sex."
