I'm not normally bothered by drop-off trails - afterall, living in this area, there aren't many trails
you can ride that don't have drop offs, but this section of trail really, really bothered me.

Eventually I told Nick I just wasn't comfortable and had to get off. I'm not sure if it was because
I needed refuelling (I ate a bar on the long walk down, and felt significantly better on the way up the
other side); or if it was because Fausto was still a little jelly-legged from the climb out to Devil's Thumb
and was feeling a little unbalanced; or if it was just riding a horse that I don't know as well as my own.
Either way, I will be getting off and walking down this canyon on the day, no matter how hot it is.
The trail is smooth enough to run down, but walking seems like a good option.
