Julie and Barbara snuck into the trees past the check (less crowded and more discreet <grin>). Upon leaving, I heard Julie comment "Right, now our horses have had a little rest at elevation..." Hmmm. Tips from the pros? |

Just past the check, the trail levels out a little and isn't quite as steep - riders were able to move out and make up some time - which I guess is one of the tricks to successfully completing this ride: trot whenever you can, because you won't be able to on much of the rugged parts of the trail. |
